Kay Muldoon-Ibrahim took this photograph of Peace Corps Volunteer Gail Bakken meeting with Mapuche weavers and wood carvers from the Llaima Volcano and Laguna Iclama regions. The Mapuche women of this region make traditional blankets, mantas, saddlebags, belts, and the Ski Llaima vest while the Mapuche men make musical instruments and small wooden carvings which they sell to supplement their income.
